// ABOUT GO DEEP

Go Deep Ministries was founded by Michael and Sherrie Howell in 1999. It has always been their desire through their music and lives, to see others move beyond just knowing about God to truly knowing Him. Their message is one of hope and faith in God's unfailing love. Their songs are anthems of Jesus' complete work of redemption and the abundant life that is waiting for all who will receive God's free gift of grace. The name Go Deep comes from a passage in 2 Cor 2:10: “The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along.” (MSG)

By 2003 the ministry had grown and opportunities had increased which led to a leap of faith to go on the road full time. God certainly honored that move and opened up doors usually reserved for bands with big record deals and corporate backing. They were quickly on the road around 200 days a year and shared the stage with some great Christian artists including: The Afters, Barlow Girl, By the Tree, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Disciple, Tree63, Matthew West, Sanctus Real, Superchic(k) and others. They were even included on a couple of compilation CD's distributed by Warner Brothers/Word in 2006 & 2009 right alongside bands such as Tenth Avenue North. They have had multiple TV appearances on Daystar, TBN, The God Channel and Sky Angel. Although they've been courted by several major labels and even offered a few deals, they have remained Independent, met some great people and made some good friends in the industry.

In 2007 Nashville became their base until February of 2010 when Michael and Sherrie were asked to move to California for a year to lead worship and be a part of the creative team at a growing church there. It was a wonderful time for their family and they loved being a part of a church team. Go Deep dates during 2010 were limited to a few regional events in order to stay focused on the work at the church and enjoy the "break" from 7 years of touring. After completing their term at the church in Feb of 2011, they moved back "home" to Texas.

There is a new Go Deep CD in the works that will hopefully be released in late 2011 and the band is enjoying getting back out to minister abroad. They are excited about the new songs and the new season they have entered. The best is yet to come!

ABOUT THE BAND //

Throughout the years we have been blessed to work with some of the most amazing guys (and girls) on the planet. From time to time you may see a different face on stage with Go Deep. Our heart is to maintain a sense of community with other musicians who have a heart of worship and draw on other’s gifts and talents. (Meet the current touring lineup below.)

OTHER INFO//

Leading worship is the primary function of the band. It is their desire that times of corporate worship become catalysts that draw people into a "deeper" walk with the Lord and lead to a "lifestyle of worship". Retreats and conferences are home to Go Deep through the spring and summer months. "All Generations" church services have also become a major focus for the band. As Michael intermingles Scripture in extended times of worship, in these intimate "holy moments", they are seeing families and relationships restored.

Breaking through generational barriers, Go Deep has been accepted by audiences both young and old, becoming somewhat of a "bridge" across generational gaps. They have been honored to lead worship at conferences preceding some of today's foremost ministers including John Bevere, Jesse Duplantis, R.W. Shamboch, Adam McCain, Dennis Burke, Terry Mize, Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Mylon LeFevre, Jerry Savelle and Jeremy & Sarah Pearsons.

Quotes about Go Deep:

"I am a GO DEEP fan! Michael, Sherrie and the guys have developed a style of praise and worship that is unique, anointed and fun! We have ministered together on several occasions over the last few years and I always enjoy the way that they just simply usher me right into the presence of God. I have also witnessed their humility and integrity of heart. I believe that they are called and anointed to accomplish in these last days what most young musicians aren't even aware of.
My son in law, Peter Furler, is the leader of the NEWSBOYS. Almost 20 years ago I helped the NEWSBOYS get started. I believe that GO DEEP has that same intangible freshness."
Mylon Le Fevre
Evangelist/Singer/Gospel Music Hall of Fame

"Strong vocals prevail on songs proficiently written... Without sounding like another U2 clone, the band manages to embody a passion not unlike the rock super group".

CCM Magazine

"Go Deep Ignited a new passion in our group, destroying the apathy that had grown around our hearts."
Adam McCain

Director/Christ For The Nations

Dallas, TX

"Go Deep is the real deal. True worship is the result of really living a life of love. Go Deep is not just another worship band; they are a band of worshippers. They live what they sing and that makes it a true worship experience."
Derek Turner
Senior Pastor/The Branch Family Church

Charlotte, NC

"Michael & Sherrie Howell, along with Go Deep, have been a great inspiration to our church body. Their ability to be flexible works well with the diverse mixture of needs they have met for us. They have ministered affectively to our youth and adults in various settings including joint services with the North Texas Youth Department of the Assemblies of God along with Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Their name is more than a catchy moniker; it is a lifestyle for them. To experience a service with them is to be in a setting where the promptings and flow of the Holy Spirit are followed."
John Bates
Senior Pastor/Evangel Temple Assembly of God An All Generations Church
Waxahachie, TX

"Go Deep is profound. It's so refreshing to find musicians with Godly character. With a passion for God and a passion for souls, Michael Howell and Go Deep are most definitely on-track."
J.D. Swilley

"I believe that Go Deep being here sparked in the hearts of our kids just how much they have wandered away from God. God is finally moving again. It's like cold water on the hottest day! Thank God."
